Check each cell's voltage to ensure its not 0V (or bad/defective) before starting.
When making battery packs, its ideal to keep the voltage of each cell to be similar voltages (may require charging or discharging)
We'd highly recommend using new batteries that are bought from the same brand with the same voltage, capacity, and chemistry.
Before getting into soldering, is best to keep the battery at room temperature. Using warm or hot cells for soldering will amplify the stress on the batteries.
We recommend choosing the pure nickel strip for the battery tabs
(if planning on adding your own tabs), as it has much lower
electrical resistance.
After creating the battery pack, we recommend running one or
more cycles of charging and discharging the pack.
